چکیده
The present work is focused on a comparative study of the effect Ti-Al interlayers and Ta alloying mechanical behavior Ti1−xAlxN coatings under normal contact pressure in-plane straining. loading samples was carried out by scratch testing, while tensile straining performed uniaxial tension coated steel substrates. Ti0.45Al0.55N Ti0.43Al0.45Ta0.12N monolithic as well Ti0.45Al0.55N/Ti0.45Al0.55 multilayer with different number thickness layers were deposited DC magnetron sputtering. It found that introduction ductile Ti0.45Al0.55 into coating led to their significant toughening. improved toughness coupled high residual compressive stress hardness resulted in its strongest resistance cracking scratching among studied. thickest metal exhibited delamination
